The Oley Valley Lynx will head out on the road to face off against the Antietam Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Oley Valley had to endure a three-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 72-44 win over Brandywine Heights Area on the road.
Meanwhile, Antietam had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Tulpehocken as Antietam made off with a 52-30 victory. That looming 52-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Antietam yet this season.
Antietam found their leader in underclassman AJ Schiefly, who scored 21 points along with five steals. The match was Schiefly's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Coste, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
The win got Oley Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Antietam, the win also got them back to even at 3-3.
