The Yerington Lions had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 67-25 victory over Truckee.
Noah Thom had a dynamite game for Yerington, scoring 31 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of KP Picotte Jr, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Yerington's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Truckee, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Yerington will face off against South Tahoe at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully South Tahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Truckee, they will head out on the road to face off against Incline at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
