Calvin Carraher Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Franklin got the W thanks in part to Calvin Carraher playing the best football he has all season. Carraher rushed for 355 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 17.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 116 yards on eight of 15 attempts. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.

Elijah Bergstrom produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Axtell to the win on Friday. Bergstrom rushed for 272 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played.
The victory (which was Axtell's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. Bergstrom's next game is against Franklin on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Adam Denkert continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game with at least 113 rushing yards.
