The Freeburg Midgets pushed their score all the way to 78 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wesclin. Freeburg has not had much luck with Wesclin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Freeburg still got an impressive performance from Cole Stuart, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that Stuart posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Johnston, who scored 19 points.
Freeburg's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Wesclin, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-4.
Freeburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-34 loss vs. Breese Central on the 9th. Wesclin has also already played their next matchup, a 47-32 victory against Okawville on the 9th.
