Meanwhile, Front Range Baptist entered their tilt with Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Front Range Baptist managed a 50-44 win over Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian on Friday. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but Front Range Baptist was the better team in the second half.
Front Range Baptist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Prelog out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Prelog hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ethan Granthan, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Mile High Academy has not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Front Range Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Mile High Academy was dealt a bruising 74-42 loss at the hands of Front Range Baptist when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Mile High Academy, Matthew VanDenBerghe (who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
