On Friday Rio take on Deerfield at 7:00 PM. Rio will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Rio got themselves on the board against Wayland Academy last Saturday, but Wayland Academy never followed suit. Everything came up roses for Rio against Wayland Academy as the squad secured a 65-0 victory. Rio were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, if Deerfield were riding high off their 56-14 takedown of Wayland Academy two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Deerfield were completely outmatched, falling 6-48 to Fall River. Deerfield's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.
