Friday just wasn't the day for Mar Vista's offense. They fell just short of Castle Park by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for Mar Vista seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2023.
Meanwhile, Otay Ranch was the victim of a tough 7-2 loss at the hands of Castle Park on Wednesday. Otay Ranch has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mar Vista's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-2. As for Otay Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-8.
