Bear Lake is 10-0 against the Tigers since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Bear Lake Bears will head out on the road to take on the Aberdeen Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Bear Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Last Friday, Bear Lake was the victim of a tough 76-50 defeat at the hands of the Eagles.
Bear Lake might have lost, but man, Bryson Crane was a machine: he scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Crane is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Treysen Wright, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Side and snuck past 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Griffin Knittel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Luke Shackelford was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Bear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Aberdeen, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Bear Lake have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Aberdeen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Bear Lake strolled past the Tigers in their previous meeting on Wednesday by a score of 47-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bear Lake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
