The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tyler Classical Academy in their matchups with King's Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
King's Academy found their leader in underclassman Travis Haft, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Atkinson, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Tyler Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for King's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
Tyler Classical Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leverett's Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
