The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 34) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past NSU University 41-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oxbridge Academy.
Giselle Grant and Tatum Billie certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Grant scored 13 points along with six steals and five assists, while Billie scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals. Grant has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Oxbridge Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11. As for NSU University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Oxbridge Academy will take on the Buccaneers at TBD on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Benjamin is ranked 406th, while the ThunderWolves are ranked 381st). NSU University is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st. Pine is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season.
