Fremd extended their postseason success on Friday against Rolling Meadows. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Fremd, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Rolling Meadows from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Gia Gillespie led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Fremd is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Rolling Meadows, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

As of now, neither Fremd nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
