 On Laguna Acoma's side,  Tavani Scott made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jazmyne Carrillo, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Moriarty and  bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Laguna Acoma, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Moriarty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  12-4  loss vs. Albuquerque Academy on the 23rd. Laguna Acoma has also already played their next matchup,  a  12-4  win against Navajo Prep on the 23rd.
