Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Northern Nash was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Rolesville by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Rams are ranked 40th).

Roanoke Rapids' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five games. As for Northern Nash, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
