The Calvary Christian Knights kicked off their season on Friday but they'll have to wait until their next match for a more definitive result. They and Shaw finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw. Calvary Christian had to tread lightly for part of the matchup as Jadob DeRouen and Haden Hutchinson were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.
Calvary Christian avoided a loss thanks to
Luke McGinnis and
Emmanuel Garcia-Vidal, who posted both of Calvary Christian's goals.
Shaw's draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will face off against Tattnall Square Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shaw, they will head out on the road to face off against Brookstone at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
