Southeast has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-42, which was the final score in Southeast's tilt against John F. Kennedy Catholic on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Southeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 495th, while John F. Kennedy Catholic is ranked 213th).
Meanwhile, Garfield Community Learning Center had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past North 57-30 on the road on Thursday. Garfield Community Learning Center's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Southeast has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Garfield Community Learning Center, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.
Everything went Southeast's way against Garfield Community Learning Center when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Southeast made off with a 49-24 victory.
