Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emerald). They blew past the Ware Shoals Hornets, posting an 81-45 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Vikings with their most commanding win of the season.

Ware Shoals' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayce Medlin, who posted 24 points and five rebounds, and Brayden Medlin, who had 13 points and three steals. Jayce's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tyrell Cunningham, who put up six points.

The win made it two in a row for Emerald and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Ware Shoals, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Emerald won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crescent at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ware Shoals, they and Ninety Six will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Ware Shoals is facing Ninety Six at the right time seeing as Ninety Six is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
