Timber Creek is 3-0 against Cypress Creek since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Timber Creek Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Thursday, Timber Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 21-16 to Winter Park. While losing is never fun, Timber Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Winter Park is ranked 65th).
Nathaniel Hull put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Cypress Creek, who are still winless after their ninth game. They took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freedom.
Timber Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cypress Creek, their loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Timber Creek against Cypress Creek when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 42-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Creek since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
