The Legacy Christian Academy Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season. They breezed by Rochester STEM Academy at home to the tune of 94-49. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-24.
Despite the loss, Rochester STEM Academy still got an impressive performance from Ilyas Abdi, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Muhidin Ahmed, who scored nine points.
Legacy Christian Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.1 points per game. As for Rochester STEM Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy will take on Mora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rochester STEM Academy, they will be playing at home against Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
