Baseball Recap: Norris Beats Lincoln Northeast for Their Fifth Straight Win

Norris waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Lincoln Northeast Rockets. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered an 8-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alec Small made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Small was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Austin Oelke looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

Back at the plate, Crew Moeller was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Jordan Monroe was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Norris' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lincoln Northeast, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coincidentally, Norris and Lincoln Northeast will both be playing Pius X the next time they take the field. Lincoln Northeast will head out to face Pius X at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Norris will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
