Baseball Recap: Beulah Takes a Loss

Beulah fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Beauregard on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Beauregard Hornets by a score of 12-11. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brady Blackston was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Devin Suggs was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Beulah and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Beauregard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beulah will welcome Ranburne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beauregard, they will face off against Reeltown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Beauregard has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
