Summit Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Regent Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will face off against Regent Prep at 4:30 p.m. Summit Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Summit Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Mounds on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Golden Eagles 10-2. Considering the Eagles have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Chase Cooper spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garett Converse, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bode Ridley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Summit Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Regent Prep came up short against Rejoice Christian on Monday and fell 13-10. Regent Prep hasn't had much luck with Rejoice Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Hudson Phelps was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Regent Prep's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cai Brookover, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Regent Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Summit Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 18-7.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Summit Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Regent Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Summit Christian Academy's way against Regent Prep in their previous meeting back in March, as Summit Christian Academy made off with a 21-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
