Westview has won four straight games at home, while San Pasqual has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Wolverines will host the Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
San Pasqual's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Westview hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Wolverines never let Valley Center get on the board and left with a 23-0 win on Tuesday.
Kaya Rodriguez looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Westview got a massive performance out of Abby Peake, who fired off two home runs, eight RBI, and one double while going 3-for-6. That's the most RBI Peake has posted since back in April of 2025. Kiana Rodriguez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.
Westview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, San Pasqual got the win against Fallbrook on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-0.
Kayleigh Carby looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Marissa Barajas was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzie Jersey, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.
San Pasqual's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Westview, their win bumped their record up to 15-4-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Westview has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like San Pasqual struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Westview skirted past San Pasqual 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
