The Briar Woods Falcons's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Warren County Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Briar Woods focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Briar Woods strolled past Heritage with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. With that victory, Briar Woods brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Devon Pettibone and Ryan Brzezanski were among the main playmakers for Briar Woods as the former scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Brzezanski's third in a row with at least ten points. Parker Auch was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Warren County came up short against Fauquier on Thursday and fell 45-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Warren County in their matchups with Fauquier: they've now lost seven in a row.
The win got Briar Woods back to even at 3-3. As for Warren County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
