After flying high against the West Michigan Lutheran Mustangs last Friday, the Bangor Vikings came back down to earth. Bangor was beaten by Cassopolis 68-26 on Friday. Bangor lost against Cassopolis in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-12 score last time.
Malachi Ward had an outrageously good game for Cassopolis as he scored 20 points along with 9 steals and 5 assists. Kenny May was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Bangor's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Cassopolis, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bangor's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hartford at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Cassopolis will take on Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
