On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, San Jacinto beat Tahquitz 59-53. That's two games straight that San Jacinto has won by exactly six points.
Meanwhile, Calvin Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Orange Glen. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calvin Christian in their matchups with Orange Glen: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Calvin Christian saw an underclassman step up: Caleb Lapka dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Becker, who scored five points.
San Jacinto's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Calvin Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
