Carlisle County has gone 8-2 against Murray recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Carlisle County Comets will venture away from home to take on the Murray Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Carlisle County will be strutting in after a win while Murray will be coming in after a loss.
Carlisle County took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Obion County with a sharp 7-0 victory.

Koltyn Perez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
In other pitching news, Cooper Wright looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Jonah Bruer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Hutchinson, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Murray came up short against Stewart County on Tuesday and fell 7-2. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.
Cody Garner was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Having lost for the first time this season, Murray fell to 2-1. As for Carlisle County, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Carlisle County has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Murray struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Carlisle County skirted past Murray 4-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
