After a string of four wins, the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tolono Unity. While losing is never fun, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Tolono Unity is ranked sixth).
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keison Peoples, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals. Peoples is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Ingram, who scored 19 points.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Tolono Unity, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will take on Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64 points per game. As for Tolono Unity, they will be playing at home against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rochester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
