The Copenhagen Golden Knights lost against the Sandy Creek Comets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Copenhagen was the victim of a rough 70-47 loss at the hands of Sandy Creek.
When it comes to explaining why Copenhagen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samuel Carroll. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The contest was Carroll's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aydan Sheitz, who scored nine points.
Copenhagen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Sandy Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Copenhagen will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Belleville Henderson Central at 7:00 p.m. Belleville Henderson Central and Copenhagen are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Sandy Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Lyme Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lyme Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
