The Pavilion Golden Gophers's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Le Roy Oatkan Knights at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Le Roy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pavilion, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Pavilion earned a 62-51 victory over Caledonia-Mumford.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Le Roy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-49 loss to Warsaw on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Le Roy came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Warsaw is ranked 385th).
Jean Agosto put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Merritt Holly Jr., who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Pavilion pushed their record up to 6-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Le Roy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
Pavilion was dealt a bruising 66-36 defeat at the hands of Le Roy when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will Pavilion have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
