Lillian Halliwell and Cailin Tyree were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Halliwell struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Tyree pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Halliwell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. At the plate, Halliwell went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI, while Tyree went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Halliwell has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Giada Joseph, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hovest, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Rittman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aquinas only posted an OBP of .222.

Looking ahead, Rittman will head out on the road to challenge Woodridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.64 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Aquinas, they will challenge John F. Kennedy Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
