NEWHALL, Calif. -
Hart (Newhall, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat Saugus (Calif.), 35-0, on Saturday.
The Indians were up 14-0 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the second quarter.
Hart expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
With the win the Newhall school extended its winning streak to seven games. The Indians defeated the Grizzlies 56-14 last week.
Hart's standout player in the win was
Zach Kret. The senior kicked five extra points.
HHS came into the game allowing 11.6 points per game. The Centurions' zero points were well below their season average of 12.0 per game.
The Indians got revenge for last year's 24-10 loss to Saugus with the victory.
Hart (7-1) goes up against Valencia in a Foothill game matchup next week, while Saugus (1-7) locks horns with Golden Valley also in a Foothill game.
