The Northwest Vikings will be playing at home against the Northeast Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
Last Tuesday, Northwest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Kenwood.
Meanwhile, Northeast had to suffer through a rough 62-24 loss at the hands of Clarksville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northeast has scored all season.
Northwest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Northeast, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.
Northwest took their victory against Northeast when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 74-51. Does Northwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
