Winneconne gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Denmark Vikings by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Winneconne never let Denmark on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-11.

Having lost for the first time this season, Denmark fell to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winneconne will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Omro at 7:00 p.m. on September 9. After both having extra time off, Denmark and Freedom will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on September 4.
