The St. John Fighting Herald will venture away from home to  face off against the Lakeside Dragons  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. St. John will be strutting in after a  victory while Lakeside will be coming in after a  loss.
St. John came out on top against Badger  on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Fighting Herald took their   game against the Braves   7-3. The  matchup marked the Fighting Herald's most dominant  win of the  season so far.

 At the plate,  Mary West and  Nadia Lagoa did most of the damage at the plate:  West  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI, while  Lagoa  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  hits gave  Lagoa a new career-high.  Rylee Frasure also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. John  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badger only managed seven  hits.
 Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They lost  16-0 to Jefferson Area.
 St. John's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Lakeside's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Thursday. St. John has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.3  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Lakeside, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.5  strikeouts. Will St. John keep running through batters, or will the Dragons buck the trend?
 St. John was able to grind out a solid  win over Lakeside in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, winning  10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Herald since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
