Football Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Bullard-Havens' Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bullard-Havens can now relate to. They fell 21-12 to the Waterford Lancers on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Bullard-Havens lost, don't look at Joshua Headley. Despite the final result, he rushed for 206 yards and one touchdown. Headley is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 120 every time he's taken the field this season.

Headley was just one part of a punishing run game: Bullard-Havens was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 278 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waterford only rushed for 176 rushing yards.

Jax Higgins was his usual excellent self, rushing for 81 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 62 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes for Waterford. What's more, Higgins also racked up 160 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October.

The loss snapped Bullard-Havens' winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Waterford, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Bullard-Havens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waterford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-7 defeat against Killingly on the 8th.
