The Weeping Water Indians waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 43-28 victory over Falls City. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Weeping Water also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Riggs Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gus Mcgill, who scored 11 points.
Weeping Water's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Falls City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weeping Water will take on Johnson County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Johnson County Central will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Falls City, they will head out on the road to challenge Freeman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Freeman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Falls City in Nebraska (Freeman is ranked 35th, while Falls City is ranked 221st).
