The Sneads Pirates lost against the Marianna Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sneads was outmatched by the Bulldogs on the road and fell 54-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sneads has scored all season.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Gabby Bellamy,
Alexis Allen, and
Carrington Scott posted three points each.
Ella Sprouse held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Sneads has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Marianna, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Sneads will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Seahawks at 4:00 p.m. Franklin County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Marianna, they and the Seahawks will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
