The Quitman Panthers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Forest Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Quitman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past Mendenhall with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Meanwhile, Forest narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Northeast Jones 22-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Forest.
Quitman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Forest, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1.
