The Baraga Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Dollar Bay 70-18 on the road. The result was nothing new for Baraga, who have now won three matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
When it comes to explaining why Dollar Bay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adelyn Swain. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with nine rebounds. Swain scored a full 33.3% of Dollar Bay's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Baraga's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dollar Bay, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Baraga will head out on the road to face off against L'Anse at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dollar Bay will be home for the holidays to greet Lake Linden-Hubbell at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Lake Linden-Hubbell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dollar Bay in Michigan (Lake Linden-Hubbell is ranked 39th, while Dollar Bay is ranked 396th).
