The Poca The Dots lost against the Nitro Wildcats back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Poca took a serious blow against Nitro, falling 82-38. Poca has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chloe Wheeler and Shiloh Harding certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Wheeler scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, while Harding scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Natalie Smith had an outrageously good game for Nitro as she scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Edwards, who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Poca's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nitro, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poca's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Logan at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. Nitro will take on Charleston Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
