If the South Summit Wildcats were feeling good off their 44-24 takedown of the Park City Miners last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Summit had to suffer through a rough 79-32 loss at the hands of White River.
Despite the defeat, South Summit saw an underclassman step up: Emma Broadbent dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Broadbent's third in a row with at least ten points. Adrianna Fitzgerald was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
South Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for White River, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
South Summit won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Orting at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. White River will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin Pierce at 5:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
