The Arroyo Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The match between them and Hayward wasn't particularly close, with Arroyo falling 62-46. Arroyo has struggled against the Farmers recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Hayward got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydon Bonds out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Jayden Doss was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Arroyo's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Hayward, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arroyo will face off against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. California presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Dons in California (the Grizzlies are ranked 370th, while the Dons are ranked 1074th). As for Hayward, they will head out on the road to face off against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Lorenzo and the Farmers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
