The Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders will head out to square off against the Clearfield Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Bishop Guilfoyle is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Bald Eagle Area last Monday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 7-1. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clearfield). Everything went their way against Bradford on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-4 victory. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Megan Wisor made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Clearfield got a massive performance out of Raigan Uncles, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Uncles has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Aevril Hayward, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Clearfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Clearfield's record now sits at 7-8. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Bishop Guilfoyle might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Clearfield in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Marauders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
