Brandon Saxby and Aaron Fronfelter provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fuqua. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in VISFA Virginia Commonwealth this season.
Isle of Wight Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Falcons, 35-8. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Isle of Wight Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Saxby threw for 112 and three touchdowns and Fronfelter had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Matt Brummett chipped in 152 yards. Jackson Goodman helped Isle of Wight Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 37 yards.
Dale Chapman's team's Saxby and Fronfelter have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Saxby has thrown for 350 yards this season, while Fronfelter, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has four catches for 138 yards. Charles Belmonte from Brunswick Academy leads the league in rushing with 615 yards.
A big matchup in VISFA Virginia Commonwealth this week will be when the Vikings take on Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot. At the moment, Brunswick Academy is in second, while the Knights are in third.
