Volleyball Recap: Lake Country Lutheran Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Adeleine Catlin and Leila Merigold

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake Country Lutheran can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Luther Prep Phoenix on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Lightning in their meetings with the Phoenix: they've now lost three in a row.

Leila Merigold and Adeleine Catlin certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Merigold had nine digs and three assists, while Catlin had 12 digs, ten kills, and one block. Catlin is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lake Country Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 26-16. As for Luther Prep, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-3.

Lake Country Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Luther Prep, they will take on Living Word Lutheran on Saturday.
