Fans got a thrill when Thomas Qualls and Kade VanMeter connected against Luther. The connection was good for 99 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 2 this season.
Oklahoma Christian's Luke Frankfurt recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Lions last week. Frankfurt's team defeated Luther as he sprinted for 74 yards on the play and finished with 168 in all.
Colton Lindsey threw for 264 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 23-32 with 0 interceptions.
Lindsey put up the best numbers in passing as Christian Heritage beat Stroud. Lindsey's favorite target this week was Dallas Myers, who caught 7 passes for 95 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback Lindsey of the Crusaders is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,388. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Maurice Wright. The Luther star has 37 catches for 684 yards.
Frankfurt of the Oklahoma Christian is only 75 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Frankfurt has rushed for 925 yards on 116 carries so far this year.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Millwood beat Dibble 53-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
