Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Baldwin). Everything went their way against the Kamehameha Maui Warriors on Saturday as they made off with a 20-2 win. The Bears' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Tariah Ortiz (T) was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ortiz (T) was even better at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Baldwin let Briana Maio-Silva (Ana) and Mele Kahaialii-Vehikite run wild. Maio-Silva (Ana) went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Kahaialii-Vehikite went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Maio-Silva (Ana) has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyra Pinheiro (Kyra), who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Baldwin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Baldwin's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Kamehameha Maui, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
