Gracy Nava spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Juliana Pandolfo, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Cox, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Menlo-Atherton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Menlo-Atherton's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Terra Nova, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Terra Nova hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Menlo-Atherton struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
