The Pitman Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Clayton Clippers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pitman is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Pitman beat Triton 41-35.
Meanwhile, Clayton put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 46-20 margin over Buena. With Clayton ahead 26-5 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Rainelle Blocker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Blocker is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Jordyn Jones was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Pitman's record is now 5-2. As for Clayton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Pitman might still be hurting after the 52-30 loss they got from Clayton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Pitman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
