After flying high against the Glades Day Gators on Tuesday, the Pahokee Blue Devils came back down to earth. Pahokee received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 58-39 to Clewiston. Pahokee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clewiston apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Despite the loss, Pahokee still got an impressive performance from Herbert Crawford, who scored 11 points. Crawford set a new season high mark in points with 11. Another player making a difference was Javian Jones, who scored seven points.
Pahokee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Clewiston, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Pahokee is on the road again on Monday and play against Royal Palm Beach at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th. Royal Palm Beach presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pahokee in Florida (Royal Palm Beach is ranked 272nd, while Pahokee is ranked 686th). As for Clewiston, they will be playing at home against Glades Day at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Glades Day comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
